Brief Biography

Dr. Jenq-Haur Wang is a professor in Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, National Taipei University of Technology (Taipei Tech), Taiwan. He received his B.S. and Ph.D degrees in Computer Science from National Taiwan University, Taiwan, in 1994 and 2002, respectively. During 2002 and 2007, he worked in Academia Sinica as a Postdoctoral Fellow under the supervision of Dr. Lee-Feng Chien. He joined Taipei Tech as as assistant professor in 2007. His research interests include social Web mining, natural language processing, knowledge discovery, information security, distributed machine learning, and big data analytics. He has published more than 100 journal and conference papers in related fields.
Dr. Wang is a member of ACM and IEEE. He serves as a Guest editor in international journals such as Complexity, Sustainability, Big Data and Cognitive Computing. He served as program committee members of major international conferences including: JCDL 2018-2023, ACM SIGIR 2010, ACM SAC 2020-2023, SocialNLP 2013-2023, IEEE ISI 2009-2022, TAAI 2012-2022, and ROCLING 2014-2022. He was conference vice-chair of AI Forum 2021, organization co-chair of WAC 2021, conference co-chair of ROCLING 2020, and program co-chair of ROCLING 2019. He was also reviewers of many prestigious journals and conferences (e.g. ACM TOIS, ACM TALLIP, JASIST, KAIS, DSS, IP&M, KBS, and NeuroComputing). He won the best paper award in ICADL 2007, ICCC 2019, and WOCC 2021. He also won the 52nd Golden Bell Award in Broadcast Radio, Innovative Research and Application Award in 2017.
